I just wanting to randomly throw this out, im pretty excited about it actually d.k.w? May 1st I will be purchasing a new 10wt reel.I have chosen to go with a new model called the alpha II large arbor design from Allen fly fishing co. it is backed up with a warranty seen some good reviews and testimonials.The price is nice to add, planing on using it to catch calico's,striped bass.Its funny if you look out there are lots of fly reel manufacturers you probably never heard of. I like something fresh & different any ways without the pain of breaking my wallet.Just throwing out there i'll post a up date on how well its constructed once it gets here.

I have no clue about saltwater anything Nick, but I hope your new reel turns out to be THE BOMB for you. Unfortuantely, purchases of the "lesser known name" (and usually less expensive) gear turns out to be a negative experience. There have ben a few horror stories on here recently about gear that wasn't "all that and a bag of chips." Hope that doesn't happen to you. Fingers and rods crossed that this thing is built like a 4x4 truck. Good luck my brother.

PM or Email me after you've opted in to a group. I don't get email notifications of when that happens, and the only way I see it is if I log in to the admin panel, which I don't do that often.

Also, working for Orvis automatically disqualifies one from any opt in areas of this site. Sasha's lucky... his favorite thread will live on.

But, but, who'll provide the comedic relief??? Surely my wry wit qualifies me to perform that service to the members of this board!
