I'll take double digit winds over triple digit temps! PM10 not withstanding. Also winnows out posers. milt.

Not me. I'll be out in that double digit heat later this summer. No choice where I live. And don't get me wrong. I'll be fishing all 3 days this weekend. Just not my first or second choices. For the most part, it's not only dangerous in the wind at these places, but it's flat out no fun.

Yeah it fd me up I was suppose to be chasing Yellowtail off the Nads today but a 7 foot short period wind swell shut down those plans. :doh:

When I'm fishing for stripers in my boat, I like a wind, 10 miles or so, but today I fished for carp and the wind came up early and hard which made it real difficult to see them, still got a few but not what I was expecting.

Is was a bit windy this morning (Sat) down on San Diego Bay but not bad enough to keep me off the bay. Had a decent morning with 14 to hand, mostly spotted bay bass with a small halibut and and 2 lizard fish thrown into the mix. Sunday morning might be a different story with more wind and the possibility of rain that might (but not likely) keep me off the water.

My 3 day weekend is over, and I did get out every day to fish. Bass fishing on Sat. trout on Sun., then back to bass on Monday. For sure, the wind forecasts kept the crowds down. Overall, a very good fishing weekend, but now I need a day off so I can catch up on some sleep.

Wind was an issue every day, but Mon was a very nice day. I was in a boat Sat & Mon. When the day was over, it took me few hours to get my land legs back.....nothing new for me. Possibly because I am motion sickness prone, the ground feels like it's moving, or swaying. I did get a bit queasy on the boat, Sat. Sunday I fished a switch rod for trout, and had little trouble getting the fly to the fish. The biggest problem wasn't the wind, but getting the fly deep enough in the high flows.

So, to conclude this long winded

post, I still hate the wind, but not enough to keep me in the house. Bonus points for wind = less fishermen.
