Sweet! Why not just make it brown of the month? That way everyone gets to participate.

I have been tying big uglies, heavy on the black black leeches, for just such a purpose. 8-)

I was thinking the same thing when I first saw this thread  ... Someone catches a HUGE trout and then innocently suggests a biggest fish contest. Umm... what? Gorgeous brown though.

In fairness to all the Flybob's of this world ;) - me included  , maybe we could run a similar "Dink O' The Month Contest" for those of us that are really, really good at attracting the young, stupid ones...just sayin'.

Yeah man this was just to get it going not to win by default..lol.. I already won when I saw this guy swim away ;) I'm sure if guys are given an entire month we would see some amazing fish..I wont be able to get to the monsters for another few months as my hall pass has expired. Look for more lunker pics in late July ;)

How about best EW brown caught in May 2011 using a Pflueger Medalist reel with a broken drag? This fish was 17" and strong, the whole time I thought I would lose it as it would take off downstream and all I could do was palm the reel or apply finger pressure on the line as it was peeling off. I don't take dad's old rod and reel out often, and this was the nicest fish I ever caught on it, so I was pretty psyched.

Nice fish, Jon! I see you are figuring out the EW. That fish from David's client is a classic EW brown. Sweet!

BBH

Very nice looking brown
Your dink is way to big. Think about two to four inches for a dink.

Jon
Nice old school brown for you.
