To say I had a good time this morning would be simple untrue. I'd like to say that the morning was all I could ask for. I arrived at the pre designated spot at 5:30, rigged and took of for the water. As I worked my way up south the breaks were soft and the troughs long and shallow. Perfect for corbina and guitar shark. At my feet beds of crabs dominated the sand. Bill showed and and than the fun began. Here's the short tale: He hooked into many, we saw about 5 (shovelnose and a few leopard) and I stepped on one halibut. I watched bill fight a nice fish for about 5 min and then it broke off. Once the line was brought in he showed me the end. Chewed! Maybe a leopard. But what made this zip-skunk so great was how much I learned. Flies, reading the water, spots to fish.... How can this be a bad day????? I'll tell you what's so nice. Bill thanks for the start of a wonderful day.
