SCORE!!!!!

Postby Josh lopez 82 » July 15th, 2011, 7:42 pm

Gentlemen I am proud to say that I scored a great deal on a 2wt. TFO signature series fly rod for under $50.00. All I need now is a reel and some line and I'm in business  .
The local Sports Chalet was getting rid of all the TFO rods they have on sale at 40% off and I was able to get an additional 10% off for applying for the new credit card they have. This was the high light of my day. Can't wait to complete the outfit and break it in.

Congratulations....you'll like it. I just bought a bunch of fly line (3 wt WF floating line) from allenflyfishing.com for $11 bucks a reel. Stuff floats great and cast very well.
They also have reels. Have fun breaking it in.

Did you get the 6' 2wt or the 8'? I'm warning you now, once you go ultralight, you'll never go back.......

thats a deal!!! i have the 2wt 8ft pro series and its a fun little rod for the 4 inch locals and goldens on the east side.. you will love it.. i have even caught some decent larger fish with it at HC, but its best on small to micro creeks

if they still have any more 2wt 7'2" 4 piece finesse series rods i might pick one up at 40% off..
i fished with a friends 7'2" a few weeks ago and its much more sensitive than my 8ft 2wt pro series...
even for small brushy creeks i still like a little more length than the 6ft offers...
anyway I will let you all know whats left at the redlands store when i get back tonight....

Josh, congratulations on your SCORE....a great deal to be sure.

The 6ft 2wts are one of my favorite sizes for small creeks, and can handle some nice fish when you get really lucky on a tiny creek.

This little piggie put a nice bendo on my Foercast, and paired with the BBS I, It was really a great fight!

I hope you have a lot of fun with it, once you get your reel!
