New wooden hinged box

I'm just about finished with my second wooden hinged fly box design. This one has a foam insert which is nothing new but the wooden hinge really makes it something unique. I have special plans for this one. Something I've needed to do for a while. I just didn't know exact what. Now I know.

World class! Reminds of a Maloof piece. I am baffled on how one makes wooden hinges that are round like that and whether you are using a wooden pin to hold it together.

I am allowed to cut, split and stack fire wood but that is the extent of my wood working ability.

Thanks for the compliments everyone. I enjoy making them. Greg, the hinges are not hard to make, just time consuming. After planning down the the wood to make the blank there are five steps to get to the finished hinge and then more sanding to remove the milling marks. I use a 1/8 inch brass rod for the hinge pin. So far I have 5 different box jigs, two of which are made to accept the C & F inserts. I just received 4 C & F clips yesterday and will need to modify the jigs slightly so the clip can be inserted into the bottom of the box. Then the user can insert any of the two smaller C&F inserts into the box that they prefer. If you have flies you like for a certain water you can insert a set of flies and change back latter to another set of flies for another water. One box, several inserts, but in a wooden hinged box.
