Now that's cool. Hard to deny Darwinism in the face of mother nature showing adaptive creatures such as that.
Sadly, all of the other birds gathered later and demanded that he share his catch. Eventually, they took so much he became emaciated and could no longer fish. The other birds were mad because they did not know how to fish and they refused to take care of him. Because he had always taken care of himself he didn't know who to call for help. Then they all perished.

I find it very easy to deny it. Some call it Darwinism, others call it "artwork". When I hold a golden trout in my hands, I think of the line in "Bruce Almighty" when Jim Carrey's character turns to God and says "now you're just showing off!" Not trying to go off topic and start a different debate, but that's just my thoughts.

Understood wildfly. Not trying to deny God his due. Darwin just made the observations on animals adapting to their environment.
Everyone else went nuts with the conclusions that now surface in Darwinism vs Creation.
This little bird was just clearly adaptive in his environment and as long as the bread kept coming he was going to survive. How he acquired this trait is for debate but never with conclusion.
I like Darwin the scientist.
I was lucky recently when my wife and I were at the British Museum of Natural History which has an entire section devoted to Darwin. We were chosen to tour with a guide the private behind the scene area where all of the non displayed species were stored. Now that was cool. This included viewing the largest Giant Squid ever captured in addition to some of Darwin's original collections.
