Sierra Nets featured on Flytalk on Field n Stream.com!

Postby Fishfreak911 » September 28th, 2011, 9:12 pm

Not to toot my own horn, but this is pretty cool, and I am proud of my fledgling business. Kirk Deeter, a blogger on Field n stream.com, a guide, a speaker, and a globe trotting fly guy, broke in his new Sierra net on a fat 19" bow on the Platte river in Co. He ordered another one a few wekks ago.
He wrote a blog about his new net today.

From this blog, I already received an order for one of my pre-built nets with a magnetic catch by 8am this morning!

You may have to scroll down to the topic as the days go by from this post.

Funny how words spread. I also received a duel order yesterday(Hubby for him and his wife) from a guy in NYC who met one of my clients from last Christmas, on a river in Pennsylvania!

I love word of mouth! :D

Congratulations on the write up. The quality and craftsmanship of your nets speak for themselves, but it certainly doesn't hurt to have Field & Stream "speak" about them too! Truly working art!

I don't know if you hear that this was also picked up by Midcurrent? I like Midcurrent, they post up 2-3 fly fishing articles of interest a day which show up on my yahoo homepage, and they also have a store of articles, videos and assorted information pieces that is helpful. A link called "A Cool Custom Net" was posted there yesterday, which in turn links back to the F&S article, and there is another link to your homepage. Congrats again. :) (Oh, and there is also a comment there from a certain "fflutterffly" that's very nice, which also mentions FFA ;) )

Greg, you should be very proud of your talents and accomplishments!

Nothing wrong with a little displaying a little "pumped-chested" pride!

I love to see one of our own get reconized. My only problem with the Midcurrent article is: Where are the several thousand dollar Bamboo rods the author references? I am charging way too little for my rods  . Just another misconception about Bamboo rods.

Sorry off my soap box now.

PapaS. Thanks for the Midcurrent link. I didn't even know about that. Very cool indeed!

Funny thing is, Kirk Deeter just wrote me this on October 3rd..."Awesome. I'll also do something on MidCurrent here in a few weeks.

KD"

So I wonder,"is he doing something else like an article?" This post was done by one Marshall Cutchin.

Any way you slice it, that's cool.
