My old Waders

I have this old pair of stearns waders, pretty inexspensive, but they have worked good. Problem is the booties are leaking and soaking my feet. I have already shoo gooed them years ago, but the leak is back. The rest of the waders are in good condition. Does anybody know an easy fix for these, can I get a replacement bootie...(lol don't tell my wife I am looking for new bootie) or is it time to hang them up and go for a new pair. If a new pair is what you think I should do, what are your suggestions, (reasonable prices now). Any recomendations are greatly appreciated.

If you do buy a new pair, save the old booties for summer wet wading. Cut em off, make about ten 1/2" razor slits in the sole for drainage, and send the rest to recycled waders. milt.

If you can, pony up the $$$ and go for the Headwaters. At that price point, you are getting Made in Bozeman, Montana Gore-Tex waders. I wore out a good pair of Bass Pro waders in a year, whereas I'm in the 2nd season on the Simms and they are still solid. They fit incredibly well as you have many sizes and cuts to choose from, and they are comfortable. They breathe well. Plus, the quality is top notch.

I was looking at those just last night, and when I get a new pair I think it will be the headwaters. I really like the fact that they are made here in the good 'ol USA. I think I have read on here that they have a good warranty department too. I would rather spend a little more now knowing that it's a product that is gonna last. Thanks for the advice.

When a manufacture discontinues a line of waders this place is tough to match price and service wise. It seems that there is always some being discounted, be patient and you will pick up a great deal on top quality gear.
