This is definitely an avatar shot for Bob. Classic!

Not only can't I decide which picture to submit, but I asked my wife and the boys to choose between three pictures and everyone picked a different picture. Thus, they must be worth sharing, so I'll put all three up here to share, but the last one is my official submission. Enjoy!

I like this first one because of its raw force of man battling nature, both the elements and the fish. It shows how crazy we are to be out fishing in a snowstorm, but what the rewards can be.

Image

I like this second one for the same reason that Conor did - it just looks cool. The standing wave that is there isn't as prominent as it is in other pictures of that spot, but the curve of the rod, the beauty of the stream and the surroundings are what I like about it.

Image

My official submission. It just seems like a timeless composition - the man alone on the stream in the winter solitude with a ray of warm sunshine coming into the frame. The snowy banks, the mid-cast pose, and the subjects face hidden to add a sense of anonymity, or that it could be any of us - are what made me pick this one.

Well, it seriously lacks the "fly fishing content" of the awesome shots above...
2.Photographs must relate to fly fishing, a place, person, fish, gear, insects, you get the picture.

as taken - untouched

and cropped, with the contrast pumped up a bit on photoshop,
