Thanks for all the comments that made me LMAO. Luc, it depends on how many strands you use in the last snood. Chris acctually made a leader with a single hair for the tip of one of his leaders. It's very delicate but you can catch fish with a single hair on the end. A snood is a section of twisted horsehair. Six snoods are needed to make up an 11' leader for the Tenkara rod in this case. I saw Chris' HH leader years ago in San Francisco and I was impressed with it's the look and feel and a couple of guys on the Tenkara site have made some recently and love how they turn over, so I decided to give making them a try. Remember how it felt to catch a fish on a fly you tied? HH leaders where used for centuries and to make one, catch a fish using one is to me in the same realm. When I get it done I'll post a photo.
