This months contest was a tough choice. With Papa's burger entry, I thought for sure he was going to run away with this months contest. Then more and more fly fishers started to post up submissions. Let me just say I enjoyed viewing each and every submission, and I'd like to say thank you guys for participating.

The winner for the month of Novembers photo contest is......

fishabuoy, with this excellently detailed macro shot of the barred surf perch. I had a super tough time selecting a winner this month, I wish I could give away more fly boxes to some of the other competitors.

Congrats fishabuoy! Shoot me a PM with where you want the flybox sent.

Thanks again for participating everyone!

I knew I should have gotten fries instead of onion rings with that burger. :fireangry:  :(

Congrats, Fishabuoy, great shot! Lots of other great pics this month as well. Thanks for the contest, Benny! Jon

Humbly - I say "thank you" ! I nearly didn't enter anything, but thought at the last minute 'what the heck'...glad I did.

PS- Brian - I think it's my camera up top and the surf underneath? Inverted? Can't really tell for sure. I have a similar shot of a crappie somewhere, where it's almost a self portrait, camera in hand... :)

Great shot! What kind of camera did you use for that picture?

Hey Luna-

It "WAS" a Canon D10 - about 2 or 3 shots after taking that pic - the display stopped working (this is the second time that has happened....). Really bummed this camera gave up the ghost, it takes GREAT pictures for a water resistant camera. It's only drawback was it was really quite bulky. It leaked on me twice, once right after I bought the original one (replaced on warranty) and I think it leaked again this past Fall on a Sierra Trip (condensation on the LCD screen, but it worked again after this). That along with 2 other Canon Elphs that have died suddenly on me (couldn't access the memory card) has me about ready to swear off Canon..... :?

After checking out the latest water camera reviews on DPReview, I'll be replacing the D10 with the Panasonic TS3. Much slimmer and takes pretty darn good pics too it looks like.

Best-
