My Wife is Mean.....

Postby WanderingBlues » December 12th, 2011, 11:42 am

So, I'm down the hill at work and my wife calls to yell at me because it's snowing heavily and I'm not there to shovel and Kyle is at school... :?

Going to be a long winter, but the creeks will be in awesome shape!

How is it that we get yelled at for an act of God? Happens every time

When a man voices his opinion and his wife isn't around to hear it, is he still wrong?

You should get the wife a pink shovel for Christmas. Wrap it up all nice with a bow on it.

.....and run like heck when she opens it.

That is a great idea; it would go along well with the microwave oven, vacuum cleaner, dishwasher, and washing machine I have bought my wife for Christmas over the years. This year I'm getting her a new flyline. Who cares if she doesn't fish, it's the thought that counts!

Mark,
Getting her this type gift reminds me of when a favorite uncle bought his wife a pair of Hextel skiis in the 70s and because they just happened to be too long (conveniently done, mind you) for her, he mounted his bindings on them. She let him know about that move for the past30+ years. The pain isn't worth it.

A friend of mine gave his wife (now ex-wife) a vacum cleaner for Christmas. She showed her dislike for the present by throwing it out his front window, narrowly missing the Christmas Carolers walking up their front walk. Did I mention she's now his ex-wife?

I don't know how you nice mountain folk put up with all the flatlanders in the winter that plug up Hwy 18 and 330. When I used to "commute" from Seal Beach to Running Springs for my weekend job, nothing was more annoying than the minivans who put on chains (on their rear axle) on dry pavement in the middle of the road in the absence of chain control!

"Geez honey, we bought these chains at Pep Boys, might as well use them before there's snow on the ground. Let's just stop here since there's no shoulder on this section of mountain road."

Apparently not. I got a call from Mike this morning. We had a fishing trip tentatively planned for Wednesday and he called to cancel it because he had to "stay home and shovel the driveway for the wife." I kid you not. I guess we know who's the boss in that family. Image

Not in my family though, * no. In my house I'm the.....[oops, here comes the wife, gotta run]... Image

You guys might think I’m pulling your chains on this one, but I showed it to my wife and she said I made a mistake. I have bought her two vacuum cleaners for Christmas over the years!

About 15 years ago, for Christmas, I bought this super cool MIX-MASTER for Mrs. Flybob ........she never used it!
And about 6 or 7 years later she gave it to my sister!
Now I only give her jewelery and cameras, have not screwed up since.
