Tackle Fever... the addiction is STRONG!

There's a brown truck heading south carrying a new Sage TXL 1 weight that I scored on closeout. Original plan was to sell the Orvis SFT 761 and get something shorter, TFO Finesse 6'9" 1 weight, but I have difficulty passing on good deals.

So in the whopping 6 months since this addiction began, I own:

Sage TXL 1 wt - for the little guys in Angeles, Cleveland, and San Berdoo NF
Cabelas Three Forks 7'6" 3 wt - my first rod which resides permanently in my truck with a small box of flies
Redington Classic Trout 7'6" 3 wt - backcountry, high alpine creeks
Scott A3 8' 4 wt - Owens/Kern for mostly dries and some small nymphs
Scott A3 9' 5 wt - for days when I have no idea how/what I'll be throwing

And I'm now contemplating a fast action 906 just for throwing streamers.

What's the cure for such insanity?

You need a few more if that is all you have.
Rods that you still need to get

1. 10 foot nymph rod in either a 3 or 4 wt.
2. 6 or 7wt extra fast like the Sage XI3
3. 8wt for the beach
4. What no 2wt?
5. Can anyone think of another rod?

You are going to love that TXL 1wt. Hands down my go to set-up. It'll handle most of your Sierra needs as well, unless you are fishing with Papa or Stanbery!

I remember when I first started and remember thinking to myself there is no way I would pay $100.00 for a rod when a good baitcaster was going for $60.00 at the time, it wasn't a year later I was out of work and spent $390.00 on a winston. It will never end guy, if your hooked your hooked. LOL

Great idea! I use my 6 weights a lot for just that purpose. They are also my "big water" rods. I'll chuck double nymph rigs, and even throw long leaders and small BWOs on them. And don't forget bass. It's a "must have" rod in anyone's *.

............come to think of it, what rod isn't what everyone needs.
