Arrived at 6:00 PM to a strong wind. Asked at hotel desk if it had been blowing like this all day and that was an affirmative. So be prepared. I accidentally left my 5 wt. w/ 6wt. line on the kitchen table. Weather: 56/18. Dress warmly.

the idiot at the desk was wrong. There was no wind at 8:00AM. headed up to EW arrived at 9:10 with a temp of 18˚. On the water and into action ASAP. Photo's but not now. Karen top was 17 Brown, My top 20 Bow. Lost an equally large Brown when it slipped out of My hands for the photo. We netted around 6 each, lost more. Flies: Only used #20 Zebra midge below a light Cahill for Visability.
More tomorrow.
