Three days left on this contest guys! All the entries are outstanding guys, and it seems like everyone who has gotten out is really taking some great looking photos. Thanks for sharing what you see out on the water. Some of us are not as fortunate to get out on the water as often as we would like, these images really help get through the tough fishless times.

This was the toughest contest yet, outstanding effort on everyone who participated, and a big thank you for all of your efforts.

The winner for the January-February photo contest is JGFLYFISH aka Joe, the Hot Creek image was captured nicely, at what looks like the perfect time of the evening. The sky looks pretty spectacular, the fly fisher in the foreground just makes it even better. This image would look pretty nice on canvas I would think, again excellently captured Joe.

Yeah, Benny. That's a great pic. I almost missed the fly fisher the first time around as it does not fit on my screen. I had to open the picture in a new tab in my browser. That really put it over the top IMO. Congrats! :D
How do you tie the fly to your hooks without killing them with the thread? I keep cutting them in half.

Thanks so much to all for your gracious comments. I am glad to be able to share with you the images that I capture. We are all so fortunate that the places we go to chase fish, bring us to moments like these.

Thanks Benny for taking time to do all of this. As I have said, individuals like you make this forum alive and interesting.

Maybe I'll see some of you guys at the Fly Fishing Show in Pasadena on Sunday.

Thanks again,

JG

Holy cow, those are some great shots. Just about any one of them would have been a winner. Nice work!
