The family and I are all settled in our new place here in North Carolina. We are all doing well and are enjoying the slower pace and lack of traffic. I haven't had a chance to wet a line yet but my neighbor is a retired post master with a nice boat and has invited me to fish with him for reds speckled trout and stripers. Also spring turkey season starts next month so expect some posts in the hunting section as well. I sure do miss you guys and the Sierras. Feel free to PM me for my address or hit me up on facebook.

Glad to hear that the move went well and it sounds like you are getting settled in. Can't wait to see the first fishing report form that neck of the woods. I've got a brother who lives in the Raleigh-Durham area and I've always wanted to fish his neck of the woods. Maybe one of these days I can get a fishing trip back to North Carolina.

Glad the family is there, happy and you are lining out your fishing and hunting. I can only imagine that you guys are relieved to have the move over and you're settled in. Pictures of the new fishing locales and fish when you get them will be great. I know you are surrounded by fresh water opportunities as well. Did you ever buy the new bow? Keep us posted.

Glad to hear you're safely moved and settling in. So, you're what? Six hours from mountains and trout fishing. Again. Why don't the Marines set you up nearer to trout fishing for a change? Still, slower pace sounds good and there must be a bit of local fishing for you to dig into. I'll be looking forward to fish tales from you as well. 
How do you tie the fly to your hooks without killing them with the thread? I keep cutting them in half.

Glad to hear that you and the family are settled in. North Carolina is an awesome place. Karen and I almost relocated there in 1997. We went there twice that year to check it out, wound up staying in S.D but N.C has it all . Insane salt water fishing ,ducks , geese, turkey's, bass. Have fun.
