Mark,

I'll be there but I'm not much of a cook. Put me down for some supplies, just let me know the counts once we get closer.

Shoot, this sounds like fun, but I will be up in Davis at the Salmonid Restoration Federation Conference.

I'll have to try again next year!

Fellow Addicts,

Here are the directions to Dana Point Harbor.

From 5 south, exit Hwy 1 and turn right.
Turn left on Harbor Drive (Right is Del Obispo) Just Past Carl's Jr.
Take harbor drive ¾ of a mile, turn left in the parking lot just past Island Way ( I will have on the right hand side of the road a sign that says CASTING GAMES) make a quick right, look for the 3 covered picnic tables on your right. If you hit the old fishing pier or the Marine Institute parking lot, you have going too far.

From 5 north, exit Hwy 1 Beach cities and go North on HWY 1.

Bring a 5,6, or 7 wt rod with 7.5 foot 1x or 2x leader for the casting game.

Casting Games next week. Image Is it on your radar screen?

But there is more....the food is pretty spectacular because not only can these folks cast but they sure can cook as well.

I've been practicing baking....you know biscuits and breads. It's great fun and I've got some pretty good recipes. I'm going to make homemade Whole Wheat Buns
Image
that will go with Mark's incredible pulled pork.
Image I'll pre-make a dozen or so and make another dozen or so in the Dutch Oven on site.

What are you bringing? We need pretty much anything you can eat. Take a look at what's listed and bring something that might go with that or don't cook....Chips, Salsa, Guacamole, Deserts, Plates, paper towels, plastic silverware....well you get the picture. Bring enough for the names listed and some more who will, no doubt, drop in.
We cast, we laugh and have fun trying new rods and seeing cool nets and then we eat.

Who Is Attending and What Are they Bringing?

Jim, Wildman...Homemade rolls for Mark's Pulled Pork
Eric- Chili
Tom Sakai- Italian olive salad
Ryan Rkfiske
Van-Quac and chips

Greg, fishfreak911-deserrt
Justin, Maybe
Bob, Flybob-Smoked Salmon
David, Tyingfool
Bill, Beachbum
Mike, Rockstar (Hopefully a sip of the famous Czech moonshine)
Mark, 1mocast
Tom, Silverlaker Maybe
Flyster
LDR, Larry
Me-Pulled Pork
Meb
Mike.S, adult beverages
Jim T, eating utensils and plate
Luc-Pasta Salad and homemade cookies

Jazz on the Fly- Drinks
There you have it. Not the five basic food groups yet but we still have a week. If you haven't put your name out there...now's the time. Gonna be a classic and better then last time. Looking forward to seeing old friends and making new ones.

Life has gotten in the way and between prepping for the move down to Poway and visiting our grandson up in Madera, I won't be able to make it down for the festivities. :( :(

It's looking like I may be able to make this with my family.

Trying to decide what to bring. Is there a more complete list of who is bringing what other than what has already been posted?

If not, I'll figure somthing out.

Rob,

Glad you and the family can attend. There is a lunch and dinner potluck. I have about 15# of pulled Pork and also will make a big pot of dirty rice for dinner. That killer ranchera and corn tortillas that you brought to the nine manner would go nicely. You don't need to feed everybody. Just let me know and I'm sure we can get someone to bring some charcoal.
