Ooooh, I like those Benny. I don't recall having seen the pattern before either. Similar to an RS2 but should float higher and be easier to follow with that foam. Hmmmm. I have some #20 dry fly hooks sitting at the vise. I wonder if I have any white foam. Also, is that floss for the body or just flat thread…I think 70 Denier UTC thread should work as it lays down flat and I have a number of different colors.
How do you tie the fly to your hooks without killing them with the thread? I keep cutting them in half.

Looks like thread to me Darrin, here are a few on a dime just to get the perspective on the small size of the flies.

Perspective make a difference. Thanks Benny. I had wondered about size even with your previous comment about them being small.

That is UTC 70 thread on a size 24 Dai Riki stimi style hook. Dai Riki is not the greatest hook in the world but they make the smallest stimi style hook I have found. That is pearl Krystal flash for the tail and in front of the foam. This is a killer baetis emerger on pretty much every river I have fished it on. Small enough to double as a midge emerger on some waters that have a little larger midge. I also tie it in black. Hope it fishes well for the lucky winner of this box. Thanks for putting this together Benny!

Just a reminder for the guys who have not yet sent in the flies. It would be nice if all the flies could be in before the Sierra opener.

Thanks

It would be incredible! The suspense is killing me. I cannot get over the incredible quality (and quantity) of these flies. I realize the odds of winning are almost as great as the Mega Millions but man...wouldn't that be a heck of a spring kickoff!

How are we coming on the remaining flies? I mean, I know my odds of taking this fully loaded box on any future fly fishing trip are, well 1 in 24, but I can always dream, right?
