But that's 7 New Zealand pounds. If you take into account the relative gravity difference in the northern hemisphere, factor in exchange rates and time zone differences, it's really just 1.7652 pounds +/-....

Seriously, nice fish!

Very cool fish. Curtis is using that formula wrong. You get that figure and add it to the NZ poundage. :D
How do you tie the fly to your hooks without killing them with the thread? I keep cutting them in half.

That was pretty awesome, never seen that big of a fish landed with Tankera!

There is a hint as to where that spot is! I could hear a big rig in the video, so it must be next to a road!

Thanks for posting that....

I didn't think it would be possible to land such a big fish but now I know. I figured a 20 to 22 inch would be about it, but 7 pounds? I'll have to break out my Yamame and go for a few leopards at the beach. I says in the notes at the bottom of the video he was using 7X. That's a bit hard to believe. But still a nice catch.

Haha too bad the guy looks like an absolute dork bringing it in.

Yeah, that's not 7X he's using. In the beginning of the video, it says he was using 4X. And even though he did look like a dork  , he landed it relatively quickly. I'm also glade to see he didn't drag it up on the bank.
