Most of my working life I dreamed of a time where I could fish as much as I wanted. This spring I was able to spend 5 weeks living that dream. All I can say is it was even better then I ever imagined!
The trip began up 395 to join Papa and other board members for an excellent weekend of fishing. It's always a treat to visit with folks in person.
Next stop was some brown fishing in the Reno area.
I headed northeast to the Henry's Fork River in Last Chance, ID, where I settled in for a month of fishing. Memorial Day weekend I drove to Cody, WY, to visit my daughter. It started snowing hard as I crossed the Centenial's and Yellowstone National Park at West. By the time I reached the east gate pass it was howling with blowing and drifting snow. They stopped us below and told us a snow plow was checking conditions and if he gave us the OK, we could go. Finally they escorted us through, and closed the pass for 2 days. My daughter and I fished the Shoshone and Newton Lake with fair success.
It was a great visit, and I headed back to Island Park.
