I haven't read through the topic yet, but I will.

My name's Chris, and I live in Bishop. A few years back I was an avid fly fisherman, so there's a good chance I may have fished with a few of you.

After my daughter was born, I pretty much stopped fishing to raise her. I'm not complaining, because I wouldn't change it for the world. But after almost 8 years, it's time for me to get back out there. Maybe she'll wanna come with me...

Here's to getting back on the water, and hopefully soon enough, with a lifetime partner!

Good to have you back Chris. I did the same when my son was born. It seemed pointless to be gone for 6-8 hours when I could be enjoying fatherhood. But, then you start to see they might just make it without the constant presence and you get to rediscover the old stuff again.

Welcome back, Chris. I started all 3 of my daughters fishing when they were three. I know I have said it before on this forum, but because I believe it so much, I will say it again. If you want to spend time with your kids, teach them to do what you love to do. It sure worked for me

Welcome back and hope your daughter does take up the sport as it's fun fishing with the younguns. I remember you and fished with you in the G before you had to go work the desk at the LaQ back in the day. I think Les (Evening Rise) and I were with you that day. It's been a while.

Well, there sure are a lot of familiar people here. That's great!

No more hotel deals. I'm out of that and working in car parts now, so I could probably still be somewhat helpful to some of you there...

And I sure do hope to hit the water with all of you again. Fall is in the air up here...daytime temps are dipping into the mid 80's on average, which means browns will be moving, and flows on the Lower O will drop, so now that y'all know how to reach me, let's try and get together this year...

As for the snakes...I'm not breeding anymore. I lost a small fortune due to an electrical failure. A $25 thermostat cost me about $24,000 in estimated market value of hatchlings. Overnight. So now we just have a single pet Rosy Boa, a California Desert Tortoise(captive bred and legally registered), and a kitty cat that I took in from the wild about 2 years ago...We do still make sure to go out and look for wild snakes to play with, though. That passion never fades, much like this one...

BTW...anyone know where Creekman is? Haven't seen Mike in years, but I know he is still up here fishing when he can. I need to get back on the water with him, too, so if anyone knows how to get in touch with him, or wants to pass my contact info along, let me know. I can give you my phone number in PM so he can call me when he's coming through again, or whatever...
