Orange County Fly Fishing Club Auction

Postby tomsakai » September 13th, 2012, 11:46 am

Well last night I bought exactly what I dont need, another rod! I went to the OC Fly Fishing Club Auction with thoughts of spending $20 or so for another Rite Bobbin. Didn't see much else that I really wanted until I wandered over to the used rods. I found this:

A Loomis Streamdance GLX 6 weight; I ended up paying $145! :bananadance:

Will have to sell some other rods to make some room for this one............

Why? If you have say under 50 rods why would you have to get rid of some?

Still cheaper than what my brother in law and I spent. Count your self lucky. You could have walked away with either the Matt Schlicke or Sweetgrass rod. I say way to go on the close call. Money well spent :)

Shane I'm sure glad that at this stage in my fly fishing I've only learned to covet graphite rods not bamboo!

Bamboo is the POO! Ithas a sweet feel, definately not for everyone. Just hope you do not love it. Best thing for dry flies.
