After a little over 4 1/2 years of living in CA, I'm moving back to Colorado. I was offered a great job that I couldn't turn down so I'm packing my bags and heading back to Denver. I have to say I'm looking forward to getting back to having so many options of great waters to fish within close proximity. Here in LA I rarely was able to break away to spend time on the water, but had a great time on the few trips I made. There are so many areas of this state that I had wanted to experience fish but never made it to. Some are still on my radar, they're just going to involve a flight instead of a drive to get to.
It was great meeting and in some cases fishing with some of you on this board. So many people were generous on sharing information on the regional waters. And I've got to say, Fishermen's Spot is one of the best fly shops I've been a customer of.
So in three weeks, I'll be on the ground in Denver, and trying to get life squared away. Of course I'm already honing in on reports from the area and planning on getting my 2012 license in hope that I'll be able to get on the water in the last 2 1/2mo of the year. I guess it's be time to start tying size 24 midges again.

Good luck to you. In this economy it often pays to grab the gold ring when you can and I'm sure Colorado will be a good move, and hey, fishing size 22/24 flies is pretty cool.

Bernard, you know you're excited that you've got a place to crash in CO now. What do you want to hit? High Lakes, small streams, tailwaters, freestone rivers, meadows, canyons? Come out in the winter and we'll ski/snowboard in the morning and fish to 20+" trout in the afternoon.

Waterborne, I'm looking forward to taking that Scott 5wt I bought from you back to it's home state. There's a huge variety of rivers to hit and the skiing is phenomenal. It may not get the huge storms Mammoth gets, but the snow is amazingly light and fluffy. Plus the chance of hitting the slopes in June is always something to look forward to.

It almost sounds like you don't like skiing Sierra Cement and using all of your skills to catch the big (bait)fish in our locals. Forsaking us for the land of Powder and real Big fish, you shouled be ashamed (that you aren't taking me w/ you)!
