On the coast, to the North, Salt Point State park had some amazing rockfishing (yes you can do it with a fly rod and sink-tip or full sink) and the Rhododendron (flowers) Reserve will take your wifes breath away as well as blow your mind if you are there at the right time of year. Duncans Cove a little South of there is another great Rockfishing area. I got a 17# Lingcod off the rocks there, try the South point. The Estrero (estuary) at Bodega Bay is a Leopard shark Nursery. There are little ones in there all year round and some MONSTER ones most of the time on the nearby beaches. Access to the Estrero used to be a pain but so much fun. Other than the Russian R. check the regs to find Blue lines w/ Steel.

Unfortunately the timing on this is pretty wierd. My wife and son are not coming up. I will miss them. Wife is pregnant with my daughter and is due right around the time I will be finishing the project! I am stoked for the work and this is the sacrifice I need to make so she will be here. :( Fortunately though we are a very close family and my parents as well as hers are here to help out. So she will be taken care of. They will stay at our house. My brother as well as hers are available to stay with her as well at nights. One is an ex-Marine so I feel very lucky.

I am pretty much open to any type of tug of war!
The only regs I have checked so far is the the river whose country makes some good vodka! Looks like no fishing for Salmon (I am totally fine with that) And barbless hooks and no bait. Which is not an issue because I don't use bait and my flies are barbless for the most part.
Lincod huh? wow, that's something else. I will need to look into that as well. Looks like sodium spoint is about an hour and a half away!
