Deal on a Purist 1

It's not often that you see these available at this price. Just thought I would pass this along in case anyone out there wanted one but was put off by the high cost...

I really shouldn't say this (but I will since I'm a * anyways!), but since that's a fly shop demo reel, he actually paid $200 for it and is still trying to sell it for profit. Just sayin' !!!!! :deadhorse:

where do you see that it's a demo? just wondering because the listing reads: "This is a factory first product - not a second, demo or custom build."

Under "Item Specifics", and "Condition", it states this:

Used: An item that has been used previously. The item may have some signs of cosmetic wear, but is fully operational and functions as intended. This item may be a floor model or store return that has been used. See the seller’s listing for full details and description of any imperfections. See all condition definitions

I think the word "may" is the key. Either way, it's a used reel. Not a bad price, but certainly not a steal either.

It's eBay. You're taking a chance - even if you know what you're doing. He's in business to make money, so I'm sure he's "making" some of what he originally spent, back. Some people will say anything to get a product off their shelf. Fortunately, I've never had an eBay issue.
