Cool Landspout Photo from Owens Valley

Postby Bernard » December 5th, 2012, 7:08 am

A buddy of mine who is an obsessed and savvy storm chaser (and former fisherman) often shares fantastic stuff. Here's a recent 395 shot worth checking out: https://twitter.com/smartinWNTV/status/274678476202713088/photo/1. The twitter profile I am sharing is not his by the way. On an interesting side note, "he who shall not be named" had perhaps the most comprehensive local fishing website I have ever seen. It included the smallest and most obscure streams as well as some mind blowing under-your-nose locations; all of which have brought me some of the best So Cal trout fishing I have ever imagined possible. As various message boards and websites in general began to crop up; he took his site down. This was many years ago in the web's early days. Currently it isn't even cached or indexed on Google. His timing was incredibly good in my humble opinion. Kind of an interesting story regarding hotspotting and someone choosing to protect even one little fish if possible after years of work and time spent building the site. Anyways, neat photo eh?
