That show was one of the ones I really liked. Didn't know of his accident.

I enjoyed his show and was also unaware he had passed away in a plane crash. RIP, Jose.

I also watched his show several time. Never a priority since saltwater is not high on my list of trips but did enjoy his attitude and enthusiasm. I had not heard of his death until this thread. A shame but sounds like he lived fast and enjoyed life and got in lots of living in the time he had. He'll be missed by many.

He was the real deal....I've met him a few times over the years....the last time was a few years ago at a Fred hall show....I was in Bill Boyce's booth with guy Harvey and in comes Jose....what stories those guys told...
It was a kick, something I will never forget. I just remember him being so down to earth and an all around nice
guy..unlike some other fishing celebs I've met.
