Hey Gang, first off I just want to shout out a big THANK YOU for all the well wishes and PMs I received regarding my hiatus/recovery. The fog has lifted, and I am once again feeling my same OLD obnoxious self, a good feeling to be sure! It is amazing that you can actually be aware of the strange feelings, and cannot do anything about it!
I do not want to ever go there again, that was my first, and I pray, my last concussion.
I must say that since my fall, I have been ever so wary in all that I do. Just getting on the ladder to hang the Christmas lights on the house was an adventure. I have come to realize that with age comes frailty and caution. I do not bounce as good as I used to!
Mark took me out a couple of weeks ago on a re-training mission, I had for the first time ever on the local creeks, taken my hiking staff...AND I USED IT! It seemed that every step I took was calculated, even though we covered quite a bit of ground, the day seemed to move in slow motion.
It was a good day until I had another mishap with ANOTHER pair of SIMMS boots....but I will leave that story for another post. Safe to say, my stick saved my trek out.
It has been, what seems like an eternity since I last logged on, I see I have missed quite a bit. But as they say, the show goes on.
I will spend some time catching up on older posts, and try to put up a couple of my own.
As we near that most special day of the year, I just want to wish the very best to all of you and your families.
And thanks again for being a very special caring group of people!
I am honored to have met those of you that I have, and look forward to one day meeting those I have not.
Cheers
