Royal Celebration of Survival

Postby WadeK » December 20th, 2012, 2:10 pm

If we're still here the day after the world ends tomorrow :stupid: , a freind, my son and I will be celebrating by FISHING at a Royal location. Does anybody have any info? PM's appreciated!

TL,
Wade

PS: I still can't believe that 4% of the population of the USA believes 12/21/2012 will be the end of the world. CRAZY :Idiot:

Wade - I've heard there won't be any water in the river this weekend, In fact, there probably won't even be a river this weekend. Come to think about it, there probably won't even be a weekend this weekend. ;) ;) ;)

Good luck up there.

I blanked, however I did get to net Gregs new PB which he then bested on the next cast. Luckly I told him to rety everything after the 1st one when I saw that he un-tangled it from the net and was going to go back to fishing. The 1st fish fought lethargically, breaking the surface only 3 times and never getting fully airborne or leaving the pool he was hooked in. The 2nd fish decided to go with the current and in <30 seconds Greg was into his backing. He landed the fish almost 10 minutes later nearly out of sight on the opposite side of the river. Both fish were nursed back to health and swam away strongly.

TL,
Wade

I was out there Sat AM, for a few hours. I wasn't out there fishing, per say, but did hook into 2 fish. Both were of the big, hatchery variety. BTW, I talked to the warden out there. Good to see him out on the weekends. He told me another warden was on the upper section of the river that morning. Was very happy to hear that!

If you happened to see someone frantically waving a spey rod around, that'd be me. Hope I provided some comic relief for the day.

In Nov. Greg and I went up there and as we were getting out to try elsewhere, we saw the Warden. He checked us and asked if we'd seen anyone else.
Too bad we missed you on Sat. I might be back next Sat for the club outing.
