Fly Fishing Magazines

Postby philosofisher » January 2nd, 2013, 12:04 pm

Do you subscribe to any fly fishing magazines? Which one is your favorite? I recently subscribed to Catch after realizing how much I missed it. I'm glad I did. This month's video was really awesome. It features two guys hiking through the Oregon back country in search of Steelhead. They catch one in some pretty challenging conditions and it takes off down the river and they end up passing the fly rod back and forth over a number of obstacles, e.g. trees and boulders, while managing to stay with this fish probably about 1/4 mile down stream. Probably my favorite video they've done.

Hooke Now E-zine is great. No fluff. They aren't taking new subscribers but when are, get in.

I'm a big fan of Catch magazine as well. When you see those pics on a big HD computer screen, wow......

And don't forget the Drake Board. The guys taking pics over there are seriously good.
