The Paiute Cutthroat

Pretty cool read, not an environmentalist but I hope this is for the better and works out someday to where MAYBE we can C&R for these guys annually.

Another great story of restoration.
The Paiutes were also transplanted into North Cottonwood and Cabin Creeks in the White Mountains, also Sharktooth and Stairway Creeks off the San Joaquin River, as another DNA refuge during their restoration in the Silver King Creek drainage. These creeks were formally fishless and made for a great place for them to multiply. I am not sure if fishing is allowed in these transplanted creeks.
They are saying that the Paiute Cutthroat could be the fist fish to be delisted from the endanger/threatened species listings after this project is completed. How cool would that be?

Another article and map:

The 2004 project assessment:

There are a list of project updates on this page. The lawsuits brought against this project have delayed the timeline set out in this initial report. Those lawsuits have now been dropped or dismissed and the project is now moving forward towards the ultimate goals of populations strong enough for delisting.

It would be nice if the wacko environmentalist would just drink some of the poison. Those idiots delayed this project for years and in the meantime the cost has gone up and up. These are the same butt holes that stop the building and repair of guzzlers in the desert, with their righteous lawsuits. Guess what animals suffer, the very same ones they filed the lawsuit for in the first place. In the end do they accomplish anything, * no?
