Hello,
I aquired one of the new Echo glass rods 7' 4" 3 piece 4 wt. The reel seat and grip were such poor quality I replaced them with a better 6" cigar shape grip and a nice Pac Bay TiCh colored down locking seat with a maple spacer. I really love the new Orvis glass rods so I picked up the superfine glass 7' 6" 4 wt. I am sure that since I changed the seat and grip the warranty on the rod is now void. Being glass I think this rod would be really hard to break. This rod is not really cup of tea, so if someone is willing to pay for the shipping ( in the US) $20.00 would cover insured priority mail. I will be happy to pass this rod on to someone who will fish it. It is a nice rod for casts for 40' and under and allot of fun for small to medium size fish. I was pleased with my Echo Glass 3wt. It's been playing hard in the Sierras and done what I asked it to. Good pick up for someone.
