Sad day for our Fly Fishing Community

Postby BradW » July 26th, 2014, 8:14 pm

Just wanted to pass on on some very sad news. Chuck Newmyer passed away this week. Chuck was the founding member of Aguabonita' Flyfishers in Ridgecrest. He was a very caring, generous man that devoted himself to Flyfishing and all the things associated with it. Here's an article from the local paper.

Rest in peace Chuck, your legacy will be remembered.

Chuck taught me how to tie flies and was always an interesting person to talk to. Who opens a fly shop in Ridgecrest, the middle of the desert without a single fishable water source in town? I don't know how he made it work for some many years, but he did. He will be missed.
