Celebrate the retrun of the wild steelhead to the Russian River
HEALDSBURG WILD STEELHEAD FESTIVAL
FEBRUARY 6, 7, 8, 2009

This will be the second year they are holding this event. I found out to late. But I'm thinking Next Year FFA Event of the year. I'll have to check with Wildfly on this one. What do you think?

Has anyone done this event?

Did someone say we cannot fish for them yet?
Denny Crane: Ah. You can see them in there. Look at the crystal clear water. My fly went right by his nose. Eat it you picky *.

Certainly a very worthy cause.

Never been to it, but just read a post from a friend. He said it's great to bring visability to the cause, but what's there to "celebrate". The wild steelhead run is in very bad shape. To "celebrate it" kind of makes you think it's been restored. :?

Brian! Don't take it so literally. You can still celebrate something that is trying very hard to make a good recovery. This is to bring awareness and $$ into the cause. Or maybe it's just another reason to drink a lot of beer. Either way you can't go wrong.

FFA Event: I'll go anywhere you want. Let's just do it.

Totally agree. I'm just passing along some local frustrations about the Russian.....by coincidence, I read what he wrote, just before reading your post. It's very nice to see more awareness, and some of the local wineries changing their practices.

Since when do we NEED a reason to drink beer. I'm ok with it being a mindless act. :)
