Sure solves the mess with getting superglue all over the fingers. Also provides a larger hole to thread tippet through than a bead. I'm convinced. Thanks Jon.

Looks secure, and I'm in the market for a replacement. Last trip up to the Kern my commercial version parted company between the hook and shaft. Dumped seven spools of Rio Floro into strong current, never to be seen again. Let's see now.... At $15 per spool, that's.... Depressing. Call it an Easter Egg hunt, but anyone who spots the collection on the Upper is welcome to them. Aaargh.
