Hey guys,

Just wanted to introduce myself. I've only been fishing for about two years and just got introduced to fly fishing on a guided trip with Front Range Anglers in Boulder in March and I haven't even looked at my Shimano since.

Currently using the crosswater combo from Reddington and I love it. Caught a couple on the Kern and recently out in the Sierras (since I'm not allowed to mention creeks???)

Trying to get into saltwater fly fishing and I still have to figure out which combo to get. Still have so much to learn!

Welcome to the forum and the wonderful addiction we call fly fishing. It really doesn't matter what you fish for whether it be warm water, saltwater, or fresh mountain water with all those wonderful trout/salmon/steelhead. Just have fun and let the fly fishing trails take you where they may.

It is pretty addicting. My friends can never figure out why I'm always out on the water. I swear all I do at work is look at maps, CDFW stocking schedule and fishing reports!

Welcome, Celine. You mention addition - apparently you have found the right place. As for mentioning creek names, there aren't any hard and fast rules, but like most internet fishing forums these days, it's probably best to err on the side of caution. For example, while a big, stocked river like the Kern is okay to mention, I'm pretty sure that there isn't a single, fishable, flowing piece of water between there and San Diego. ;-) But, stick around long enough and somebody who lives in that big blob down there might show you where I'm wrong. Welcome to the board! The reason why FF is so addicting is because it touches all those things that get lost thru daily life. You just don't achieve that with a spinning rod and a hatchery fish. Look forward to your reports and don't be put off about asking questions. A lot of amazing folks on the board.
