I’ve been out a few times recently and have had some great times, but cannot share those trips the way I would like to due to my old Sony 6 megapixel camera finally giving out after 11 years, 2 dunks in rivers and subsequent rice baths, and countless drops. I’ve been out hunting, fishing, and hiking successfully and my inability to share those adventures in a visual way has driven me crazy, especially considering that I try to be reciprocal in sharing this stuff in an expression of gratitude to the members of this forum.
Enter my new Fujifilm XP 120, a water-proof shock-proof point and shoot digital camera. I love it so far! It has a rechargeable battery, a huge improvement from my 2 AA battery powered Sony, and many shooting modes to choose from, including panoramic, something my old camera did not have. It is a compact 16 megapixel point and shoot which shoots photos that rival, if not surpasses, the quality of photos taken by my $500 Canon T5 Rebel, all for $100 delivered from Costco.
Here are a few photos from recent dirtbike rides around my home in Lytle Creek.
I would recommend this to anyone who wants a digi cam that is waterproof. It is inexpensive and does all the things I need it to while in the field, all while holding a good charge and providing a good range of shooting modes.
