I was curious about the quality of them so I bought 3--the Topwater (their cheapest at $14.55), a Bugati (around $40), and a General Practioner (GPR series at around $60).
I fished both the Topwater--loaded with a triple 000 line--and the Bugati--loaded with a 3 weight line. The Topwater performs well for a cheap single action click/pawl reel and it has a hardy like sound when line is stripped out. On a scale of 1-10 where 1 mean sucks and 10 is great, it gets a 6 for value.
The Bugati looks nice in a grey finish and it is a mid arbor reel for a 3/4 line. Disk drag, interchangeable spools. The line is * when stripped off and I wasn't impressed with it. I'm going to call the company and see if I can return it in case I got a lemon. On a scale of 1-10, this reel gets a 1.
I still haven't tried the GPR but will let you know what it works like. I don't expect it to function like a Ross, Galvan, Tibor, but do expect functionality.
