Congrats!

My grandparents did the RV thing when they retired. I used to go with them during my summer break from school. It was always an adventure and I got to see a lot of the country. I am sure you will have a great time!

I agree with flutter...i hope you take a laptop to keep us updated. I have never even thought of heading further east than colorado to fish. Some of those states out there grow some pigs. Barrie should start a blog!!

There is no "Jealous" Emoticon.

If you ever need technical support for your 5th wheel, feel free to drop me a line.

I'm with Shane though...Gilas and Apaches need to be on the list. You have the unique opportunity to catch every Salmonid native to North America. Woo-Hoo!
Fishing is the most wonderful thing I do in my life, barring some equally delightful unmentionables.

 I think that's the one, MrGreen. Green with envy? Either that or it is an alien. And put me down for jealous/envious too. I haven't fished back east since I was a kid. Head up towards Maine, Barrie, you can find some huge brookies up there.

Good on ya Barrie! Sounds like a better plan this time around. Have the greatest of adventures and let us know where we might be able cross paths. My retirement adventures are minor league compared to this one. I need to get one of those 5th wheelers and expand from the Western US to the entire continent and stretch the lap out from a month to a year.
Happy Travels
Dave
PS Sounds like I'm on the infield of this lap but if your plans change or Northwestern Colorado is on your agenda in the future give me buzz; I'd love to fish with you.

Thanks for all the good wishes. I feel compelled however to respond to my friend and nemesis Papa S.

Yes I will be taking a laptop with me as well as my camera, however I doubt that I'll be able to spin a yarn as well as Papa S does.

By the way Papa what you find in Branson MO. are lots of tourist types, plus some great Bass fishing in Bull Shoals and even better trout fishing in Lake Taneycomo. I last fished them both in 1971 so I'm looking forward to going back. And yes I will play tourist.
