It's Not....

Fly Fishing, but it's the next best thing, <oops> about fly fishing. I had the pleasure of hanging out with some fine fly fisher folks over at The Fisherman's Spot over in Van Nuys this afternoon. For those of you who might have missed it, David D'Beaupre aka~"TheFlyGuide" was down in Socal from Bishop showing off some of his fine tying skills and letting a few in on some Eastside hot spots ;)

With a touch of Montana, thanks for the sick looking streamer David

It was really nice to see some of you cool cats out at the Fisherman's Spot, until the next time, keep on

Looks like you had a great time, and glad you were able to get a picture of Flyjunkie at his finest.

Very nice streamer. What was the blue/teal colored material?

The blue teal looking material has the consistency of Barbie hair, don't ask me how I know that  Not sure what type of material, it's definitely synthetic though. There is some zonker strip, jungle *, spun deer hair and a huge hook with dumbbell eyes ;)

Dean has turned into a damned hippie! Let's see: long hair, goes to Mexico frequently, spends a lot of time out on a boat, likes strange music played by a band with a giant eyeball. Hmmmmmm. Image

Hey Graham, I was hoping to see you at the Spot yesterday. It was a nice day just hanging out and BSing with some of the guys.

Benny, was that you with the sweet Canon 7D around your neck? Either way, nice photos - you really captured Dean's personality.

Nice cameo photowork Benny!
