January Meeting: Fly Fishing the Sierra w/Steve Schalla

Postby Jim T » January 13th, 2012, 6:58 pm

Our speaker this month will be Steve Schalla. Steve is the creator of one of the best sites on the web devoted to Fly Fishing The Sierra (http://stevenojai.tripod.com/homepage.htm). Steve will be discussing the geological development and hydrology of the Sierra’s along with fish distributions, both native and introduced. A knowledge of these areas can greatly enhance your exploration of the various regions of the Sierra and improve your fly fishing. If you’ve restricted your Sierra visits to the Mammoth area, make sure to attend this meeting and find out all the other great places the Sierra has to offer.

Please visit his website prior to the meeting so you can get an appreciation of the wealth of information Steve will be sharing with us and to get answers to any questions you may have.

Meeting is Thursday, January 26th at 7:00pm at the Long Beach Casting Club Clubhouse.
